Heat Re-Sign Shavlik Randolph
July 28th, 2010 | by Rob Kelley |Yeah, it didn’t really do much for me either.
Randolph has played in a whopping 95 career games with seven total starts. He’ll give you a bucket and a pair of boards over a five to ten minute span. This is more of a depth move.
I shouldn’t be saying all of this. I’m sure that Randolph will certainly bring something to the table, but when Miami has signed the stars that they have so far this offseason, it becomes difficult to get excited about a former Duke forward that is not named Boozer, or even Brand. Heck, I’d even settle for Laettner, Meeks or Parks.
Actually, I wouldn’t go that far.
Other than possibly signing two of their other second round draft picks, Da”Sean Butler and Jarvis Varnado, expect the rest of this record breaking offseason to be more on the ho-hum front.

there is only one off season move left to be made and that is bring back shaq. of the 7″ters in free agency he is the only one to score more than 10 pts in a 2010 playoff game. BTW when LBJ was fading in games 4 and 5 shaq stepped up w/17 and 21 pts. even as an old slower shaq he had a 12.09 eff rating. No other 7″ter has a rating above 6.0 that means he is 2x more eff than these other clowns…come on riley man up and close the deal on three more championships (titles 7, 8 and 9). do something b4 boston does. the lakers have 3 quality 7″ters. one 7″ter is no match against the lakers three, the move to get LBJ will be wasted. there is only one player who is more motivated to win titles than kobe and that is shaq. come on let’s get this done
